Lego Kids Fest is legolicious

Lego KidsFest is legolicious-awesome! A three day convention that tours the country, making approximately six stops nationwide annually, features all of the Lego greats: Chima, Ninjago, Lego City, Hero Factory, Harry Potter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Superheroes, and my kids' all-time favorite Star Wars. Dozens of exhibits feature building, movies, battling, racing, just sitting in a pile of Legos and more. From little duplo-experts to 'Master Builder wannabes' there is actually something for everyone. In the art gallery everyone can add their masterpiece to one of several walls. On the 500+ sq. ft. floor map of the United States you can add buildings in cities or sites from east to west coast. Young and old can test the laws of physics by stacking bricks upon structures to test their strength. Suddenly, even a vacuum that sucks up Legos for easy recollection becomes exciting at Kidsfest. To control the crowds, KidsFest sells out often days in advance for four-hour sessions. We were worried that might not be enough time to take in all the events, but Alex and Serene were plenty exhausted at the end of their session. We drove from Los Angeles to San Jose, CA for the weekend, and it was worth the six hour trip.
