Batman Live!

Batman Live: An action packed adventure with stunts, illusions,
martial arts, and trapeze artists.

Faithfully adapted from the DC Comics’ characters and stories, BATMAN LIVE focuses on Robin’s quest for justice, which leads him to follow in the footsteps of his hero, the mysterious vigilante known as the Batman – much to the dismay of his protective guardian, millionaire Bruce Wayne – who secretly happens to be Batman.

Batman Live is part cirque du soleil, part Broadway musical (without the singing & dancing). With massive stage changes, great special effects and even a decent story-line, the show is a lot of fun. Its world tour features DC Comic characters: Batman, Robin, Catwoman, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Two Face, the Riddler, Poison Ivy, the Penguin, and even Commissioner Gordon. Dressing up as Batman to see the show is optional.

"I wish they all could be California ...KIDS!"

During the summer of 2012, Alex and Serene enjoyed the California beaches from as far south as Dana Point and as far north as Santa Barbara. At the beaches of Malibu, Topanga, Zuma and our favorite Leo Carillo, the kids built sand castles, surfed the waves, climbed along the tidal pools, buried each other in the sand, soaked in the sun and became the California kids they were destined to become. Alex is ready to take surf lessons and Serene is already the cutest bunny at the beach.

Wisconsin Cow Chip Throw

Wisconsin, I love you. But, sometimes you make it a little hard. I can handle the snow and even the cold. Growing up as a Cheesehead did include a lot of cows, corn husking, deer hunting, tractor pulls, butter and Green Bay Packers. But, after almost 20 years of living in Southern California, its hard not to chuckle that the big activity of Labor Day Weekend is a Cow Chip Throw. And yet...I kind of wished I could be there to throw a few while enjoying some Leinenkugels. Maybe next year, I'll bring the kids.
